Steve Alpert
Steve Alpert is a native New Yorker and has been painting for 40 years, professionally for the last thirteen. His land/sea/skyscape work has been termed as, “…super contemporary filled with emotional content…”

After a successful career working as a producer/director in television news, documentary and corporate video, Alpert turned full-time to his greatest passion in life; putting oil paint on canvas. In this relatively brief time, his work has circulated across the North America to fine art galleries and executive boardrooms from Honolulu to Manhattan. Alpert’s work hangs in two museums; The Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover AFB, Dover DE, and the Yogi Berra Museum in Upper Montclair, NJ.

Mr. Alpert also makes military paintings for donation to non-profit organizations that benefit Veterans and their families. He has written a book about the life-changing experiences making and donating his military paintings; “Worth Fighting For” is published by Library Tales Publishing released in November 2011.

Steve Alpert graduated Ithaca College, having the great fortune to study with brilliant master painter, Alan Atwell. Alpert humbly bestows all credit to Mr. Atwell for providing a lifetime of inspiration in living the life of an artist.

Based in Quogue on New York’s east end of Long Island, Alpert maintains a working studio. Steve is married to Dorothy Devlin and has a step-son, Matthew. Alpert is never without his trusty best pal, Ray a big beautiful yellow Labrador Retriever.
